The story

“I built this for me.”

I'm Kenny Lewis. I've spent fifteen years in the Oklahoma pool industry — selling pools at kitchen tables, digging them in red clay, plumbing them, troubleshooting them, and standing in more than a few backyards at 9 PM in January talking a homeowner through a freeze.

In all that time, I never found software built for how a pool builder actually works. I used Jobber for years — it's a fine tool, but it's not pool-builder software; it doesn't know what a build is. And the software that IS built for pool builders is made for the top-ten outfits in the country — big teams, big dashboards, a week of setup — and I wasn't about to spend $15,000 a year on something like DBX to run a company my size. Nothing out there was built for how we actually work — so I had a team custom build this just for me.

Poolhouse started as the system that ran my desk: my quotes, my parts lists, my build board, my customers' pools. It runs today inside a working Oklahoma pool company, on real builds, through a real season — every feature in it earned its spot by saving me time or saving me money on an actual job. Then I realized every builder my size needs the same thing.

What fifteen years in the dirt teaches you

The stuff that's in here because I lived it

The quote that rounds is the quote that loses

Experience rounds. It rounds pipe, rounds fittings, rounds concrete — and the rounding always lands on the builder's side of the ledger. That's why the configurator counts instead of estimating.

The freeze protocol is written in cracked pump bodies

Oklahoma freezes kill more equipment than everything else combined. MyPool's two-state freeze protocol is exactly what I've told hundreds of homeowners on the phone — now it's in their pocket before the front hits.

The serial number matters most years later

Warranty claims die over missing serials and missed registration windows. The vault exists because I've watched real claims — real money — get denied for the want of a number nobody wrote down.

Simple is a feature, not a compromise

A builder's software has to work in a truck, between jobs, with wet hands. If it needs a training video, it's already failed. That rule is load-bearing in every screen of Poolhouse — and it always will be.

The promise

Built by a pool builder. Kept that way.

Here's the commitment behind the product: Poolhouse will grow — scheduling, payments, permits, more — but the screens you touch every day will stay simple enough to run from the seat of a truck. The day a pool builder needs a training course to use this, I've built the exact thing I walked away from.

And the founding ten dealers don't get an onboarding portal and a help desk ticket. They get me — in person, setting it up with them, the way I'd want it done for my own company.
